How to Screen Record iOS 9 With AirShou
AirShou is developed by the Shou.TV team in 2013. This application is one of the earliest screen recorders for iOS devices along side iRec (now EveryCord). Record, stream, and share!

Originally iOS screen recorders utilized direct access to the frame buffers (IOMobileFrameBuffer) where a “snapshot” of the current screen/frame data will be saved 30-60 times a second as images. These images are combined with the audio to create a seamless screen recording! AirShou uses a unique method of recording the device’s screen: AirPlay. Once the application is installed and running it will also start a mini AirPlay server in the app. To start recording you just have to change your AirPlay output to AirShou!
How to fix the “Untrusted Enterprise Developer” error?
Do not fear, as this is not much of an error at all. These alerts were added to iOS shortly after Emu4iOS and its predecessors first gained popularity, with Apple slowly changing it over time.
- Go to Settings
- Go to General
- Go to Profiles or Profiles & Device Management
- Tap the currently installed developer
- Tap Trust
Untrusted Developer iOS 9, iOS 10, iOS 11, iOS 12, iOS 13:
AirShou was released in 2014, right behind iRec, the world’s first iOS 9 screen recorder. Six years later, AirShou is still one of the only and most effective screen recorders for older devices such as iOS 9 and iOS 10.
But this screen recorder works great on iOS 11, iOS 12, and iOS 13!
We can see here some old archives of the Shou.TV website. In early 2015 @Shou_TV allowed non-jailbroken users to install Shou from Emu4iOS, what an honor!
After converting and pivoting from a screen recorder to a live streaming service, AirShou was on top!
Not too long after Shou’s reign of the iOS live streaming community, it was officially cancelled & shut down June 1, 2018.
The original iPhone app (.ipa) files for AirShou still function quite well.
Here is a live stream of @Shou_TV’s twitter, their services were apparently being abused to a point of shutting down. From the developers of AirShou comes Mixin.one. Mixin allows secure private cross platform communication.
